Student leadership, accountability and strategy for all JSC activities.
The Executive Board is the primary decision-making and coordinating body of the Journal and Seminar Committee. As per the Committee Specific Rules, the Executive Board is composed of the Secretary / Joint-Secretaries and the Executive Members of the Committee. Together, they are collectively responsible for organising and conducting all Committee activities, including events and competitions, and for adopting the Annual Agenda for the JSC.
The Board deliberates through Executive Sessions, passes resolutions and action plans, and ensures that all activities remain aligned with the broader Yearly Agenda for student committees in the Department. It is also tasked with representing different batches, ensuring compliance with the Committee Specific Rules and General Rules, and liaising with other student bodies where necessary.
In practice, the Executive Board:
Sets the Annual, Monthly and Event-wise Agenda for the JSC
Approves and supervises seminars, lectures, student-led initiatives and collaborations
Coordinates with the Editorial Board on Journal, Blog and Gazette work
Delegates and supports sub-committees and working groups under the framework of Clause 12 (Sub-Committees)
Ensures that all Committee activities are conducted transparently and in keeping with the Department’s academic and ethical standards
